Magicians Must Die is an interesting and rather fun twist on
comic publishing. For starters, the series is printed on a deck of playing
cards. WTF? You say, indeed. For interest sake, if you are into the world of
comics, it is worth a look.
Their site MMD is a visual and narrative tour of their
comic, concept and specific world they have created. As you might imagine the
cost is more than your average CB – which in these parts are from $2.99 to
$4.99 but not as much as a graphic novel.
I recommend a look. The storyline is fresh and the art
respectable. If for nothing more than the first time novelty. You might find
yourself hooked – I am and continue to follow the storyline as it evolves.
Reading it at times is bothersome … it’s not like you can comfortably enjoy this concept in
an airport or train station.
Hats off for a little inventiveness and happy reading.
