About Sinister Tidings

Here you will find a collage of likes and dislikes from RTS’ Spyder Collins. The primary focus is to bring fun and indie flashes of art and not so mainstream artists. There is nothing fancy, revealing, political or otherwise world shaping. Just things, introductions, reminiscing and fun in the world of literature, art and music, to which I hope you enjoy and find some pleasure in.

Batman Eternal - James T. Tynion IV and Scott Snyder

Batman Eternal is a jam-packed, action filled series that proves to improve on the already dynamic world of Batman. Batman Eternal #1 is a great read with exceptional art. The crux of the story centers around Commissioner Gordon and his toe tipping on the other side of the law.

Professor Pyg makes an appearance and offers what you might expect from a pig-headed super villain. Batman and Commissioner Gordon of course foil his exploits, but the ride provides a look into a darker side of Gordon. Advise you hop on this series early as it promises to be fast and furious, as well as frequent.

The series will offer everything Batman and Gotham City including GCPD and a bevy of super villains. Much of what you read may be rehashed from earlier series but the content and art will be much more ‘mature.’ Certainly, Batman Eternal will gather new fans of the already insanely popular universe.

The art is exceptional, based in realism and hard hitting. It is Batman, so it is dark, very much so but refreshing. There is nothing about the first offering that one can claim to be disappointing. Even the price is right – granted the releases will be more frequent but still, you really cannot complain.
