About Sinister Tidings

Here you will find a collage of likes and dislikes from RTS’ Spyder Collins. The primary focus is to bring fun and indie flashes of art and not so mainstream artists. There is nothing fancy, revealing, political or otherwise world shaping. Just things, introductions, reminiscing and fun in the world of literature, art and music, to which I hope you enjoy and find some pleasure in.

On the writer's iPod – Darling Parade

Once in awhile my muse is just in the mood for something not so heavy or sinister. Darling Parade is one of those bands that provide such a release. Their music is not relaxed by any means but they do offer a moment for my muse to recharge. For my muse Darling Parade (on FB) provides that female fronted band which is a cut above and not no so mainstream.

Lead singer Kristin Kearns (on FB) truly has a beautiful voice that melds well with the rhythmic beats brought on by band mates Nate McCoy, Dustin McCoy and Casey Conrad offering a well put together sound that in its own right is fresh and unique. For my muse Darling Parade (official) provides an incomparable way to revitalize and return to the keyboard renewed.

Darling Parade’s Battle Scars & Broken Hearts (sample here) offers an exceptional playlist, which is sure to appeal to many different tastes – certainly worth a listen:

  1. When It's Over
  2. Ghost
  3. Crash & Burn
  4. Just Another
  5. Change
  6. Messin' With Me
  7. Bells Are Ringing
  8. Coming Undone
  9. Bad Habit
  10. Summer
  11. With You

Darling Parade has the look, talent and playlist to make a HUGE impact on the music and writing world - standby.

Enjoy a visual of Ghost and stay tuned for a message from Kristin Kearns at the end:
